Ishino
is the daughter of Glenn and Arlene, and she has an older sister, Genine
(7/3/81), who
competed
in gymnastics at the University of California-Berkeley from 1999 to 2001, an
older
brother,
Gian (8/31/85), who is a former gymnast, and a younger brother, Glen
(5/10/90), who
is
also a gymnast. Ishino’s favorite school subject is science, and her
favorite book is “The
Outsiders.”
She enjoys pop music such as N’Sync and Mariah Carey, and her favorite TV
show
is “Friends”. Ishino’s gymnastics goals include earning a spot on the
2003 World
Gymnastics
Championships team and the 2004 Olympic team. She also hopes to receive a
college
scholarship to compete in gymnastics. Her role model is figure skater Kristi
Yamaguchi
because of her dedication and commitment. Ishino hopes to someday become a
sports
doctor.
